Stefano Antonucci - Rigoletto
One of the most appreciated Verdian baritones, Stefano Antonucci distinguishes himself thanks to his lovely, elegant tone and his deep portrayal of the characters he sings. He recently performed: La Traviata in Santiago de Chile, Montpellier, Genoa, Bologna, and at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago; Rigoletto in Dijon, Zurich and at the Terme di Caracalla in Rome; Adriana Lecouvreur and La Bohème in Florence. Mr. Antonucci collaborated with such conductors as Lorin Maazel, Riccardo Muti, Georg Solti, Gianandrea Gavazzeni, Vladimir Delman, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Donato Renzetti. He recorded Mercadante's Virginia for Opera Rara (2008) and Donizetti's Adelia for BMG-Ricordi. Stefano Antonucci has recently gained great success as Simon Boccanegra at the Göteborg Opera.
Mariangela Sicilia – Gilda*
Promising Italian soprano, she won the Tito Schipa lyric contest in Lecce, making her debut as Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore. Ms Sicilia recently performed Musetta in La Bohème in Lucca, Pisa and Ravenna, Arsenia in Jommelli’s Don Trastullo at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples; Cléopatre at the Withsun Festival in Salzburg; Il Viaggio a Reims at the Opera Studio at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro; and L'Arlesiana (Vivetta) at the Wexford Festival Opera. On the concert side, Mariangela Sicilia has lately starred in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in Jerusalem and Ravenna, concert that was broadcast by Italian National Television and in a lyric concert in honor of Giuseppe Verdi in Lugo.
Future plans include L’Italiana in Algeri and La Donna del Lago at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro; L'Elisir d'Amore in Monte Carlo and Madrid; L'Arlesiana at the Festival Pergolesi Spontini in Jesi; Il Medico dei Pazzi at the Opéra National de Lorraine in Nancy; La Wally and La Bohème (Musetta) at the Opéra National de Paris. Ms. Sicilia will sing Petite Messe Solennelle in Saint-Etienne under Alberto Zedda.
